How Do the Holy Scriptures Describe the Heavenly Paradise?
Heaven is and will be like this.
A place where Allah will dwell with his people, free from trouble:
Look! Allah's dwelling is with mankind! He will live with them, and they will be his people. It is Allah himself who will live with them and be their God. And he will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more, and sorrow, crying, and pain will cease. The former things are gone! (Revelation 21:3-4)
Where people become immortal and glorious, yet like before:
Isa al-Masih said, “At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.” (Matthew 22:30, NIV)
Many of those who sleep in the dusty ground will awake—some to everlasting life, and others to shame and everlasting abhorrence. But the wise will shine like the brightness of the heavenly expanse. And those bringing many to righteousness will be like the stars forever and ever. (Daniyal/Daniel 12:2-3, NET)
… Isa took Peter, John, and Yaqub up a mountain to pray. And as he was praying, his face changed and his clothes became dazzling white. And suddenly, two men appeared—Musa and Ilyas—talking with Isa. All in glorious splendor, they discussed …. (Luke 9:28-31)
A place to worship Allah:
Then I looked and heard the voices of many angels. They encircled the throne, the living creatures, and the elders. The angels numbered millions and millions, and they said in a resounding voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and praise!” And then I heard every created being, those in heaven and those living on the earth and in the earth and in the sea, every one of them, saying, “To the One who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be praise, honor, glory, and authority forever and ever!” Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!,” and the elders bowed in worship. (Revelation 5:11-14)
New and entirely righteous:
… what holy and godly lives you should live, looking forward to the day of God and hurrying it along. On that day, he will set the heavens on fire, and the elements will melt away in the flames. But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God's righteousness. (2 Peter 3:11-13, NLT)
Allah said to Prophet Isaiah, “Take note. I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will be forgotten and disappear from mind.” (Isaiah 65:17)
A place of peace and joy:
… They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning knives. Nations will not take up the sword against nations and no longer train for war. … You will set out with joy and be led in peace. The mountains and the hills will burst into cheers before you, and all the trees in the fields will clap their hands. (Isaiah 2:4; 55:12)
For the humble, not for those who are merely rich or powerful:
… the disciples came to Isa and asked, “So, who is the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven?” Isa called to a child and stood him in their midst. Then Isa said, “I tell you the truth, if you do not change and become like this child, you absolutely will not enter into the kingdom of Heaven. Whoever lowers oneself to the position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven.” (Matthew 18:1-4)
Then Isa said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of Heaven.” (Matthew 19:23, NIV)
A place of togetherness:
When the time came, Isa and his emissaries sat down together to eat. And Isa said to them, “I've been so eager to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. As for me, I won't eat this meal again until its fulfillment in the kingdom of Allah.” Picking up a full cup he thanked Allah for it and said, “Take this and share it among yourselves. As for me, I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of Allah has come.” (Mark 14:22-25)
An inheritance for Allah's spiritual children:
May God, the Father of our Lord Isa al-Masih, be praised! Because he is so merciful, he has given us new life through Isa al-Masih's resurrection after death. His life is our guarantee of an inheritance—entirely secure, untouched by decay, undiminished by time, and kept waiting in heaven for us. (1 Peter 1:3-4)
Then the sovereignty, authority, and might of the all kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting one, and he is the one all rulers will worship and obey. (Daniyal/Daniel 7:27)
A home for each believer:
Isa al-Masih said to his disciples, “Don't let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God and also in me. My Father's house has many rooms. If that were not true, I wouldn't tell you I'm leaving to prepare a place for you. And since I'm leaving to prepare you a place, I'll return to take you with me, so that where I am you may be too.” (John 14:1-3)
Isa's emissary Paul wrote, “The place of our citizenship is heaven, and from there we eagerly wait for a savior, the Lord Isa al-Masih.” (Philippians 3:20)
A place to live forever:
Isa al-Masih said, “Everyone who hears and learns from the Father comes to me. … I tell you the truth, whoever believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. … I am the living bread which comes down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever.” (John 6:45, 47-48, 51)
Whoever is victorious, I will allow to eat from the tree of life which is in the Paradise of Allah. (Revelation 2:7)
